From One Cherry to One Flight — Let’s Take Care of Our Next Generation
On Saturday, 28th November, the Sydney Markets Foundation’s Cherry Ball and 45th Annual Cherry Auction is coming together for a very special cause.
We are excited to announce Little Wings as our charity partner. Little Wings provides free, safe and professional air and ground transport for seriously ill children living in regional and remote communities.
As the Sydney Markets Foundation, our connection to regional Australia runs deep. Our partnership with Little Wings is about supporting our farmers, our growers, our agricultural industry, and the next generation of families who call regional Australia home.
When a child is seriously ill, accessing lifesaving specialist healthcare can mean travelling hundreds of kilometres from home to a city children’s hospital. For families already experiencing an incredibly stressful and vulnerable time, this can create enormous financial, emotional and physical pressure.
Little Wings helps ease that burden.
By providing free transport, Little Wings reduces travel fatigue and exhaustion, allowing parents and carers to focus on what matters most, caring for their child and being there when they are needed most.
In 2026, the Sydney Markets Foundation has set a goal to help fund 200 Little Wings missions, supporting more children and families to access the specialist healthcare they need.
And what makes Little Wings truly special is its incredible community of volunteers. Little Wings is 90% volunteer-led, with 100% of its pilots, drivers, event teams and Board members generously donating their time, skills and kindness to keep this vital service in the air and on the road.
This November, we invite our incredible Sydney Markets community to come together, donate generously and fuel many Little Wings mission with love.
