About this cause

Indigo Junction is a Specialist Homelessness Service provider that has been operating in Midland since 1979. We support vulnerable community members by providing crisis and transitional housing, specialist support and outreach services – while building skills, capacity and independence. We also run a range of programs that focus on growing the strength and connection of our local community.

In the 2023/2024 financial year:

  • Over 1195 food parcels or food vouchers were distributed to 822 people in need.
  • Safe, affordable housing and support was provided to 12 families (including 35 children and young people), 22 vulnerable young people, and 25 women and children escaping family and domestic violence.
  • Around 42 young people linked into intensive support through the Keny Moort and LIFT programs.
In addition to accommodation provided through the refuge, 2229 people received counselling and advocacy support through Koolkuna’s Coordinated Response and Advocacy Service.
  • 340 people who were sleeping rough, homeless or at risk of homelessness were provided with support through our various outreach and intensive case management support programs.

There is still a lot more to do in the local area and we need your help. Indigo Junction is supported by many individuals, businesses and community members, some of whom have been generous donors for many years. The generosity of the public’s donations allows us to meet the unique requirements of people in need.

Make a difference in the lives of young people, families and individuals this Christmas by making a donation to Indigo Junction. Your contribution will assist us to continue delivering support services and programs to people in need in the local community.
