Hello and thank you for supporting us in remembering Lillian, who so tragically left us in March 2025.
We are walking 10km in her memory on
Saturday 19th September at 10am at Brighton Baths.
This year I am raising funds for Support After Suicide. This organisation has been instrumental in supporting our family through the most devastating time of our lives.
Support After Suicide helps support people who have lost a loved one to suicide through counselling, peer support groups, workshops, online communities and resources, helping to foster a sense of connection and community.
When a family loses someone to suicide, they don't just lose the person they love. Every member of that family is suddenly at a significantly higher risk themselves. Research shows that people bereaved by suicide are 65% more likely to attempt suicide than those who haven't experienced this type of loss.
This is why the services of Support After Suicide are so important, which is why I want to support them this year.
The support they provide isn't just about helping people navigate unimaginable grief. It is also about reducing risk, restoring hope, and making sure families don't have to carry this burden alone. When you lose someone you love to suicide, you can feel alone and isolated.
Your contribution will go directly to supporting those bereaved by suicide, along with reducing further suicide risk and creating a sense of connection and community to those left behind.
Thank you for your generosity and I look forward to seeing many of you on the walk (for those who can make it).
If you are joining us, please let me know your email so I can add you to the fundraising team! (yes, I need to do this manually).
Thank you again,
Frances, Neil and Margaux
